The meaning of life

Volunteering at Regatta München events is certainly not the meaning of life, but it's still a lot of fun!

Would you like to get to know a large, mostly international sporting event in the form of a rowing or canoe-sprint regatta and everything that goes with it, from the organisational side behind the scenes? Working together in a large team to ensure that all races run perfectly? To look after the athletes well? Seeing the winners up close at the victory pontoon? And above all: having lots of fun doing it? Then become part of our Volunteer Dream Team!

Our group of volunteers between 12 and over 80 years of age, together with the members of the regatta association, work hand in hand to ensure that Munich is perceived as one of the best regatta venues in the world.

That’s why we need you, your families and friends, your commitment and your good mood! Together we can create a great regatta season at our Olympic Regatta Centre in Munich Oberschleißheim and thus unforgettable experiences for rowers and canoe-sprinters from all over the world and for all of us.

Generally speaking, you don’t have to be able to actively row or paddle yourself to lend a hand! Even without prior knowledge, you can contribute significantly to the success of the events. We are happy to welcome all volunteers who bring commitment and good humour to our large team! Of course, there are briefings in all areas, either in advance with an appointment (for more demanding tasks) or on the first day of work. As a rule, you will never be deployed alone and your team leaders will always be there to help you.

You can easily register at VEITL. This is our registration system for volunteers, where you can enter your most important data, desired areas of work and, if applicable, previous experience.

It doesn’t take long at all and is not really complicated.

Just use the button here directly below.

Once you have registered, we will then be able to allocate you specifically to the events in question, depending on your availability and talents.

And don’t forget to indicate your T-shirt size. The volunteer shirt should also fit perfectly.

In particular, we need support in the following areas:
